Remember the story of Sisyphus?  According to Greek Mythology he was condemned to an eternity of rolling a boulder uphill then watching it roll back down again.  Sound familiar?

Whether you lead a team of 5 or 5,000 there are plenty of things to tackle already- then when its time to scale the team or turnover impacts you, things get even busier.  For many, the early stages of recruiting feel an awful lot like rolling a rock up a hill— mining your LinkedIn network, calling recruiters, getting a flood of resumes of varying levels of quality, then doing a ton of phone screens or in-person interviews to find the right match.  You know the impact of this process- Time.  Time with open territories, time with no production, or for leadership positions time where you’re playing “double duty” running your existing team plus the open one.  Any way you slice it, its no fun and if not solved quickly can be disastrous.
